It was founded by Seth Godin, author of Permission Marketing, Tribes, Unleashing the Ideavirus, and many others - which are well worth the read!
As you write your articles around a niche topic - and you should - you can post them to your own Squidoo lens. Since your lens will be built around a very specific topic, it will have the added bonus of being naturally content- and keyword-rich. This will help you get better rankings on search engines for that lens.
You can share all types of content to your lens: text, audio, and video. You can link to your own products and programs, as well as create affiliate links to products and books you recommend.
